Welcome to The I-58 Mission!

The I-58 Mission is designed to Exalt Christ and make Him known by caring for those in crisis in or near Senoia, GA.

We use Isaiah 58:6-12 as a blue-print by meeting physical needs and showing the love of Christ. We are located at 2450 Hwy 85 in Senoia.

Your participation is valuable to this ministry. Will you pray with us, volunteer alongside us, minister to the hurting? There are many ways to plug-in. You can also participate by donating items such as household goods, appliances, furniture, clothing, and food. Those items are given to people who are in a difficult place in life.

We want to help meet the short-term physical needs of those living in painful circumstances and show them the enduring love of Christ through an on-going relationship in a loving community.

Our Vision

To Exalt Christ And Make Him Known

Our Mission

The I-58 Mission, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Christian service agency formed to partner with the community to answer the call of Isaiah 58 to 1) set the oppressed free 2) share food 3) provide shelter and 4) clothe those in need.

Our Values

  • Faith – Our dependency is on God
  • Hope –Our message is one of hope and freedom in Christ
  • Love – Our driving force is to exhibit God’s love by loving our neighbor
  • Stewardship – Our efforts will be to equip those we serve for lasting freedom

In early 2011 God was simultaneously moving in the hearts of many in the Senoia area of believers.  Through a tapestry of loose connections we were drawn together in mid 2011 from multiple churches and walks of life to celebrate and pray over our needed response to Isaiah 58. Out of that time we felt God call us to unite efforts and seek 501(c)(3) status for Sow Good Center, Inc.

Since 2011, God has used what little we had and strategic partnerships with Publix, The Midwest Food Bank, Senoia area churches and individual donors to weekly aid up to 40 families with food and practical household needs.

In early 2014, the Board of Sow Good Center realized we had neglected our vision of “spiritual awakening” and had shifted disproportionately toward the mechanics of the ministry and away from the heart of our ministry.  Recognizing this and our need for more leadership and volunteer training to not just meet physical needs, we decided to pause and pray for both a Director of Operations and a home facility.

God faithfully answered prayers by continuing to make provision through faithful volunteers and strategic partners and also brought us into relationship with Karhma Novak who had independently been led to begin Project 586, also founded to answer the call of Isaiah 58.

In November of 2014, the Board of Sow Good Center shared our vision with Karhma and we got to hear her vision and passion for the oppressed and hurting. In January of 2015, we all agreed that our united effort would best accomplish the purposes of Isaiah 58.  The board of Sow Good Center offered Karhma the Director of Operations position and Karhma accepted.

In February of 2015, to reflect the changes and the continued focus on Isaiah 58, the Sow Good Center Board officially changed the ministry name to The I-58 Mission.

Beliefs

We believe the challenges and promises of Isaiah 58 to be for the community of believers and therefore best fulfilled together and beyond denominational differences.

We believe accepting the challenges of Isaiah 58 will be as healing for the community of believers ministering together as it is for those being ministered to.

We believe the community of non-believers (clients or others observing) will see Jesus Christ in us and be compelled by the actions of our faith and love to fulfill the challenges of Isaiah 58 together rather than apart.
